RUNV.CLUB - FAQ
1. What is runv.club?
runv.club is a Brazilian community in the tilde style, with an SSH account, terminal, personal page, wiki, news, and a space to learn, publish, and connect with others.
2. Is the system only for Portal IDEA students?
No. runv.club can welcome people from different backgrounds, as long as there's availability and the community rules are respected.
3. How do I get into the system?
On the runv.club pubnix, access is via SSH with a key (not an SSH password). Account requests follow the official flow (see the "Join" page on the site: an Ed25519 key and a connection to entre@runv.club); the team creates the account after manual review. Approval can take up to 21 calendar days (we're a small team).
4. I lost my SSH key or can't log in. What do I do?
There's no password recovery on SSH. Keep your private key safe. If you've lost it or need to replace the public key on the server, write to admin@runv.club explaining the situation.
5. Can I share my account with someone else?
It's not recommended and may be prohibited, especially when it compromises security, auditing, account responsibility, or system rules.
6. Can my account be suspended?
Yes. Accounts can be warned, limited, or suspended for rule violations, abuse, fraud, evading a penalty, spam, harassment, or risk to operations.
7. What can lead to a ban?
Fraud, scams, phishing, intrusion, malicious exploitation, serious illegal content, real threats, serious harassment, evading a penalty, and serious repeat offenses.
8. Does every penalty start with a warning?
No. Minor violations may start with guidance or a warning. Serious violations can lead to immediate suspension or a direct ban.
9. How do I report abuse or suspicious behavior?
Send an objective report, with evidence if available, to admin@runv.club.
10. How do I appeal a penalty?
Contact admin@runv.club, identify the account, explain the case objectively, and send any relevant evidence.
11. Does the system keep usage information?
There may be technical logs and operational history for security, support, moderation, and platform integrity purposes.
12. Can I publish other people's data?
No. Exposing personal data, documents, contacts, private screenshots, or sensitive information without authorization can lead to serious penalties.
13. What should I do if I suspect my account was compromised?
If you suspect your private key was copied or your computer was compromised: stop using that key, generate a new pair, don't reuse the leaked material, and immediately contact admin@runv.club so the team can evaluate replacing the public key on the server and review the account.
14. How do I talk to the administration?
Through the official email: admin@runv.club
15. Where can I see the system's rules?
In the official runv.club wiki, especially the community rules, moderation, privacy, and access files.
16. Where do I ask for help on IRC?
After logging in via SSH, run chat. WeeChat opens the house network, joins the #runv channel automatically, and shows the nick list on the side once the terminal is wide enough. For external IRC clients, the backend remains irc.tilde.chat on port 6697 with TLS/SSL. For account matters or sensitive data, use admin@runv.club.
