runv.club
runv.club is a small public Unix server, run from Brazil. Members get an account on a shared Debian box and a corner of the small internet to go with it.
What you get:
- a shell over SSH (or mosh), with editors, git, and Python, Perl, C, Go, Rust, Node, Ruby, Lua, Haskell and a few Lisps
- a web page at runv.club/~you, a Gemini capsule and a Gopher hole
- a blog: drop markdown in ~/blog and it's up on all three, and on the planet
- a spot on the runv ring, our webring, if you want one
- your own address, you.tun.runv.club, for an app here or a tunnel from your laptop
- an eepsite with its own address on I2P
- git at git.runv.club, bookmarks at links.runv.club, an RSS reader at feeds.runv.club
- #runv on tilde.chat through our IRC bouncer, also in the browser
- pb for pastes, twtxt, finger, a forum in the terminal, and a dashboard: just type
runv
It's a good place to learn your way around Linux and to put your writing online with no ads or feeds around it.
Every request to join is read by a person, and we let in 5 people a week. Ask to join, or from a terminal: ssh join@runv.club.
The old runv.club closed in October 2026. The letter is still up.
